This waterfront home from the early 1990s has something you don't often find: you imagine yourself in the middle of nature, but no gardening is necessary! You dive straight into the water from your sun terrace, or sail away with your boat from your own terrace. A boat of up to 6.75 meters can be moored directly to the sunny terrace.
This spectacular semi-circular complex by Tuns & Horsting (later MAS Architecture) has an active and enthusiastic Owners' Association. The house has its own indoor garage, but there is also free and ample parking right in front of the house.
Layout first floor
From the cul-de-sac (little to no traffic) you enter the hallway, through a separate door you can also reach the indoor garage inside. In the hallway there is a separate toilet and the staircase that provides access to each floor.
The next room is the eye-catcher of the house: an additional living room that extends into the waterfront terrace. In early spring, the doors are quickly opened due to its southeast facing location. Along the glass facade, a spiral staircase in the waterfront loft leads to the living room on the second floor. The classic wooden floor laid in herringbone pattern is used on this floor as well as the second floor.
Second floor
Through the spiral staircase to the void you reach the second floor with a cozy living room and views over the water. Through the narrowing you walk to the living kitchen which is equipped with a black designer kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, large oven, induction hob and tall fridge freezer.
Second floor
Through the landing you enter the second floor with three bedrooms, one generous bathroom, built-in closet and central heating room. The master bedroom at the front of the house can be accessed through the hallway or ensuite bathroom. Central on the floor is the bathroom which has a bathtub, shower, toilet and double sink. Overlooking the water are the two bedrooms at the rear of the home, both of approximately the same size.
Third floor
This full floor is an asset of the home, not all homes have this build up installed but it does offer a lot of extra space. From the hall there is access to the two bedrooms and the centrally located bathroom equipped with a toilet, shower and sink. Both bedrooms offer access to each its own roof terrace.
Surroundings
Weesp is a fortified town more than 900 years old, has a beautiful old center and since a few years is a city area of Amsterdam.
The complex is located like a semicircle between the Amsterdam Rhine Canal and the old center of Weesp. Via the Verlengd Buitenveer, you can sail straight to the Amsterdam Rhine Canal, the Vecht or the cozy, historic center of Weesp. Cycling will get you to the NS railway station in less than 10 minutes. Near the house you will find several supermarkets, a high school, playgrounds.
Weesp has good restaurants; among others De Eendracht, 't Weesperplein and not to forget Nelis IJssalon, with excellent ice cream. There are also many cozy cafes with nice terraces and special local beers and brews.
