Building
Architectural firm 'De Zwarte Hond' has made the design of 'NoordBaak'. It is inspired by the tough, adventurous and unpolished character of this historic shipyard. 'NoordBaak' consists of four entirely distinct characteristics that together form one powerful and self-evident block. The commercial spaces are located in the plinth. The adjacent boardwalk forms both architecturally and physically the termination of the buildings to the water. The open character of 'NoordBaak' creates a lively interaction between the functions in the building, the outdoor spaces and the quay.

Mobility and parking

This is a free ferry service for pedestrians, cyclists, mopeds, scooters and for disabled vehicles. The North/South (metro) line will take you to Amsterdam Central Station in five minutes and to the Zuidas and RAI Amsterdam in 15 minutes. The A10 ring road connects you to many highways. Schiphol Airport is just a 20-minute drive from the NDSM Wharf and is also easily accessible by public transport. Parking is available in the public parking garage behind building 'BinnenDok'. 'NoordBaak' has a collective and lockable bicycle shed.
